ouch!

I'm SOOO sore....from the gym!! Somehow I've gone 2 days in a row with Michelle, got a personal trainer, assessed my overall physical fitness, AND am going to bootcamp tomorrow! I just have to say that bootcamp just sounds scary! God help me tomorrow, I hope I don't drop dead. Oh, and according to my assessment test, I have a fitness level of a 35 year old. That totally floored me. I guess I have to get my ass in gear and finally get in shape.

So about my laptop. I took it to Best Buy and Circut City and neither of them could fix it. Marie took it to her friend who fixes computers and it just turned on as if I never had a problem with it...so wierd! But i'm happy to have this baby back....it's so conforting to have all your files, pictures, documents, etc..

I rearranged my scrapbook room a little last night and worked on a few things.... Here are 3 "confessions" and a layout.

what's the chance...

...of me taking my laptop in tomorrow and finding out that it can't be fixed? I really REALLY want to hear that tomorrow...because I want a MAC!!! I think Adam would kill me if I got another laptop (esp. since I got mine from him last yr for xmas). Really, he wouldn't like that idea. But then again, there's always my credit card....

should i drop it a few times when adam isn't looking before i take it in? or is that deception??

bored

I'm sooooo bored!!! Adam took the day off and I planned a fun day for us. We were supposed to go to lunch, take my laptop in for fixing, and then go to the mall, movies later. However, that didn't happen. Adam is sick. Really sick. Let's just say he had too many Patron shots last night...oops. Anyway, I'm in the mood to scrapbook but can't because all my pics are on my damn laptop! How shitty is that. So, I made a few "confessions" pages but I can't share them cause this laptop isn't connected to the scanner. Oh well.

oh no!

my laptop is broken! dead. gone. I'm so bored without it! I have no idea what happened to it. I was using it all day yesterday and then I went to turn it on last night and it just wouldn't turn on. I'm so mad! All my stuff is on that computer and now I'm using Adam's....how shitty! Sorry guys, I have no fun pics to post of Christmas, which was at my house!

I was such a bad hostess. I had NOTHING prepared! I was planning on doing everything Christmas morning: grocery shopping, getting the liquor, all that, but I had no idea that everything closes on Christmas and that they do not serve liquor either! So it was bring your own food and drinks at the Lige Christmas get together....but it turned out good and it was fun. Sorry I have no pics to post...it's all on my computer : ( All I have to say is, whatever the problem is better be fixable and fast...i love my laptop!

home alone

i've been home alone...all night! this is the first time i have been alone for so long (6-10:30 so far) in my own house, without Adam, after my mom died. And I didn't even have any crying spells! I've actually enjoyed myself. I have the lights dimmed, christmas tree lit, along with candles and the fire!!! Sounds romantic, huh? I bet it doesn't once I say that I had chef boyardee beefaroni, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, AND doritos for dinner. and chocolate too! Oh and that was all as I was watching Super Skinny Me.

I also read this cool article in the archaeological magazine.

These remains were found in Italy of a man and woman intertwined...5,000 yrs ago!! Isn't that amazing! The article is called "Eternal Embrace" and it's very interesting! Reminds me of Romeo and Juliet...

Rambling

1. Today gave me a new reason to hate cooking...i burnt the shit out of my wrist! I dropped an onion into the hot oil and it splashed on me. I really hate cooking!

2. I'm going to NYC in Jan. with my cousins and a friend...can't wait! It's gonna be a fun trip with the girls and can't wait to hit up some awesome stores. The first stop will be at The Ink Pad! FINALLY!

3. Cousin Chris comes home from LA tomorrow morning....yeah!!! We love it when he comes home! There is going to be some much needed laughter going on around here!

4. I booked a very random, spur of the moment trip today with Staci C. We're driving to VA to take 2 classes with our favorite scrapper...KRISTINA CONTES!!! Too bad it's so far away...Feb 16...we want to go this weekend!

5.I went to the Dept. of Human Services (family service office) today to get a central registry clearance for my new job. I happened to park next to a running car. I look inside and see 2 children (both in car seats) sitting in the car...alone!!! I wanted to report it the instant I saw them. I walk in, stood in line and debated whether or not I should say something as the lady 2 people in front of me was crying...literally, for some kind of help. I thought if i said something, she'd kick my ass, since she looked like those crackheads from intervention and she was already having a nervous breakdown. I quietly reported her to someone and I think I ruined her day even more when someone from the agency approached her and told her it was she shouldn't be doing that. Let's just say she went off on him and ended up having a bigger breakdown with him outside in the parking lot. As I was leaving, the agent was taking one kid out of the car as she was sobbing taking the other kid out.

The whole point of this story is what kind of idiot 1. leaves their 2 children (both in car seats) in a running, unlocked car and 2. at the DHS family services!! What a fuckin idiot!

The View

I wonder why I used to HATE Whoopi?! Maybe it was those nasty eyebrows, i don't know, but I really really like her now. After watching the view and "getting to know her", i had a change of heart. She just seems genuine. So much better than the bitch, Rosie!


Also, I LOVE her! I hope she replaces Elizabeth on The View, she's so damn funny! But what the hell is she wearing?

I can't even wear shoes with straps over the ankles b/c i think they make my legs look fat! Seriously, what the hell is she thinking? I still love her though...very funny broad!

you heard it here first...

I shoveled the snow with Adam today! Yup, moi! I actually got out of my cozy bed this morning to shovel the 10 inches (so they say) of snow we got today. I just had to. I noticed Adam was NOT wearing a scarf while he was blowing the snow. So I went out to give him one and saw icicles forming on his eyelashes! Then I saw that he was wearing SOCKS ON HIS HANDS in place of gloves!! I felt really bad for him so I decided to help. But really what idiot doesn't wear the proper attire in freezing whether as they are shoveling snow (besides Michelle)?! As for me, I was hooked up. I had on my leg warmers, socks, ugghs, sweats, arm warmers, gloves, and a hat. Needless to say, I was damn warm.

Oh we had a snow ball fight too and I set my camera...



Then we warmed up by the fire and I scrapbooked while Adam watched football. Here's what I made...

Oh yeah, and I found Henry, the frog, dead this morning. I knew there was something wrong!

boo hoo

I bought a friend for our frog, rodney, along with a new tank. So now we have rodney and henry and they are so cute! I put them both in the bigger tank and added some water so they could get used to their new environment.

I went downstairs by the fire and took out a huge box of old pictures my mom had at her house. I sorted through hundreds of them. It was so heart wrenching to see my mom in those pictures and all of us so happy...the good old days.

After a few hours, I went upstairs to check out the snow storm we're having...there's tons of snow out there....kind of cool considering the fact that I hate snow! I then go check on our frogs and neither of them were moving! I put my finger on the new one to see if it would do anything...but nothing....he was dead! I shook the tank a little so the other one could move since he was stuck in the corner...he didn't move either!!! All of a sudden I burst into tears, sobbing over these stupid frogs....I cried to Adam "even my frogs die!"...and poor Adam put his hand on my shoulder to confort me as tears streamed down my face. "Don't cry, Renee, we'll get new ones." And then suddenly there was movement! Both of them were really alive! Those bastards tricked me!!

Maybe my little breakdown wasn't over the frogs after all...

I want an Apple just for iphoto! It's so much fun and I can't believe how much we laugh EVERY time we use it. I swear it never fails...just constant laughter for a very LONG time. I think it got old after an hour today. Here we are at my uncle Paul and aunt Lori's house.

So today was a very unproductive day. I woke up at 12:30...yeah, I know..very lazy but I had nothing to do and no one was home. Then Marie and I did something we never do. We went to the bar for "lunch" at 3 and played those machine games right at the bar. Before we knew it, it was dark out and 5pm! I took her home and then went to my aunt's house for dinner....her infamous ribs...they were so damn good and we ate so much that it hurts to lay on my stomach! What a lazy fat ass I was today! But it's okay, I didn't have anything better to do!

They found a new home in my scrapbook room where today, I spent most of my day. It was so nice and warm in there (since the rest of our house is 60 degrees thanks to Adam!). And I started a new mini book called "the crew...aka the cousins". I love how it's turning out and it's not close to done. Here's a peak at what I was working on today...





I had a couple other pages done but I messed up on them with damn rub ons that will not come off! Can't wait to complete this book...it's gonna be funny.

By the way, I actually bought skinny jeans today! I never thought I'd give in to that 80's look but I bought a pair of awesome boots that would only look good with a pair of skinny jeans. So now I own a pair.

i am obsessed with the internet...

...and it keeps going down!!!! It's driving me crazy! I'm spend the morning and evening on the internet for a very long long time...I can't live without it! This on and off again internet crap needs to STOP!

But I'm on now and here's a new layout of my mom holding my hand. Oh God, how I loved holding her hands. My heart literally aches for those hands. I miss those hands. I need those hands. Just can't wait to hold those hands again one day!

surprise, surprise...

we had a surprise birthday for Farah on Saturday...and she was SO surprised!!! She really had no clue. Adam and I took her out to dinner while everyone else waited for her at my house. When we walked in, everyone was so silent!! I swear you could hear a pin drop, that's how quiet it was! It was so much fun and I think maybe 2 of the crew was sober by the end of the night...it was a riot! Here we are....

EVERYONE is always telling us how much we look alike... and i think we resemble each other...in fact, when i glance at pics of jennifer sometimes, I have to make a double take. HO HO HO!!

What a hit the christmas party was!!! It was beyond what I expected....just SO awesome! We had so many activities that the kids enjoyed....Everyone was so happy...the kids, parents, volunteers, and the staff at starfish family services.

Here's a peak at what went on at the party....

The kids got their faces painted. That was a huge hit...Marie and Foof were painting faces from 9:30 until 12! And the kids just got a kick out of it. Check out this kid when he looked in the mirror and saw his face....He was so happy!

They decorated mittens and trees...

This is Milton...one of my favorite kids...he's so damn cute!

They saw santa...one of the kids asked santa if he could make her mom have a baby...funny...

Of course, after Santa were the GIFTS!!! Check those babies out....The kids were almost overwhelmed by all the gifts...they were taking their sweet time in there so we had to rush them...

We didn't forget about the necessities either...each family got one of each of these...

After the gifts, we had a raffle for the parents. We raffled a dvd player with some dvds, 2 $50 gift cards to walmart, and 1 $100 gift card to walmart....the parents loved it!

And here are two of our favorite kids....all of us fell in love with Robert....what a character he is!! And check out that smile and those amazing eye lashes (i want them!)


This is Destiny....the most beautiful little girl! I want to eat that face!!!

And how cute is she?!! Her name is Sierra...what a doll!!

And this lady (Milton's mom) was so thankful! She gave one of the volunteers a hug and said that she loved us and that we have no idea how bad she needed all the things her family got....

I love throwing these parties and making a small difference in people's lives. It's hard for me to imagine the hardships some people go through, but it makes my heart swell with happiness to know that we did something to make them smile!
