Nice...

I thought Adam was being so nice posing for a picture that I could scrapbook. Well, right before I took the shot, Adam gave me a surprise pose. Very mature, right?! I swear, I can NEVER get him to take a decent picture!! Even though he hates taking pics, sooner or later I'm gonna break him in!

My mom and 17 of her friends are coming over my house on wednesday! Yes, 17 of them! How horrible is that?! They want to see my house so they decided to ALL come at the same time! How very shitty! F*cked up...

Alpha dog was such a disturbing movie, but at the same time it was very good. It's based on a very fucked up true story. I just couldn't believe what I was watching...I recommend it but don't watch it when you're in a good mood. It might get to you, it's that disturbing. I guess I don't know what to say except watch it...it's good.


I actually did 2 layouts today. I wasn't too satisfied with them when I first finished but I actually like them now. Of course when I try to post them there's something wrong...the scanner didn't get the sides but it still looks pretty good...i'm gonna have to find a solution to help post better pics. Any ideas? Scanners don't fit all of my layouts and pictures don't do the pic justice...

It's Gloomy

...and I love it!! I always have. It's so cozy when it rains and it gives you an excuse to bum around! I printed out a ton of pictures to scrapbook today and I actually did a layout. As always, it's kind of blurry but you get the idea...

And here's Adam being difficult. This is his typical reaction when I try to take a picture of him. I swear it NEVER fails!

I think I'm gonna frame it just show him how annoying he looks when he does that...

Random Facts

7 Very Weird Random Facts about me...

1. I have a collection of dictionaries, even electronic ones! I can't really explain that, i just love
them.
2. It gets under my skin when someone's feet touch any part of my body! Adam purposely
touches my feet or legs with his feet to get on my nerves. He thinks it's funny but I get
mad.
3. Drawers or cupboards that have been left open, even cracked open, get on my nerves! I
ALWAYS have to close them.
4. I hate to cook! Adam calculated that in the 6 months we've been married, he gets a meal
prepared for him by me less than once a month. Needless to say, we eat out a lot!
5. I am obsessed with Madonna! I've watched her concerts on DVD a million times...and still
do...I just want to be her!
6. I'm terrified of flying! I take a 1 mg of Xanax and drink...a lot...before I step foot on a plane.
And I always have to meet the pilots! I really don't know why meeting the pilot would save
the plane from crashing, but i still do it.
7. I can't eat anything with onion or tomato. If I'm eating a salad and there is a tomato seed on
it, I can't eat it!

Finals are over! Thank the Lord! I have 12 days until hell begins with 7 week classes of statistics and childhood psychopathology...yikes! How dreadful does that sound? Hopefully it rains the majority of the 7 weeks so I don't feel so bad. The good part is that it's almost all over. I'll finally be done with school...at 29! Better late than never....

I went to my friend's sister's wedding this past weekend. The poor thing tripped over her dress and fell on the alter! I felt so bad for her! Here's a picture of me, Adam, and Brian (friend's bro). Adam is the one on the left for those of you who have never seen him...good looking, huh? : )

Here's some good news...I submitted a jewelry holder to Somerset Studio for a call on their home publication and I was contacted today. My jewelry holder will be in one of the next few issues (not sure which one yet, but I'll definitely post it). All they need from me now is a description or any info on my project that I'd like to share and it has to be the way I'd like to see it in text...final stages I think...yeah!!! My first publication!!!

Dumps

I have been in a funk the last few days. My semester is coming to an end with my last 2 finals on Tuesday. I've been a little stressed about it and to top the weather is absolutely gorgeous (does that make any sense?)! Today was 70 and there was not a cloud in the sky. The forecast for the entire weekend is like that but I'll be stuck inside studying for my psy finals. Can someone tell me again why I went back to school???

Anyway, when I feel stressed I like to scrapbook. It's very therapeutic. Here's a page I did for my "a different perspective" book

Feeling Lazy

I gave up court side Pistons tickets tonight. I let Adam's friend go instead of me because I thought that I would be studying for my finals. Instead, I took a nap, went out to dinner, and played cards with Janan! What am I doing?? 1. Giving away court side Pistons tickets and 2. slacking off right before my finals! I really need to cut the laziness and procrastination and study! Tomorrow, for sure!

Friday night is date night for Adam and me. I need some good ideas of things we can do on Friday nights. We usually just make dinner, drink some wine, and watch tv together...not very exciting! Help us spice it up! I'll take any ideas....

I wish I could move like these women! I just don't know how these women move those hips like that! I took belly dance classes a few years ago and let me just tell you that I was moving body parts that I didn't even know I had!! It is EXTREMELY difficult! I really have to get back to those classes again. Maybe I can preserve some of my roots/culture (my arabic speaking ability is really starting to deteriorate)!

A Request From Chris

My cousin, Chris, came home from L.A. today and requested that I update my blog. So here it is Chris...an updated blog just for you! And move back home damit! We miss you!

I had a very full day and will actually have a VERY busy next two weeks. I got up at 4am this morning and couldn't go back to bed for the life of me! I actually got up and finished a layout for scrappy chic. Went to class at 8 am, visited my mom after class (at noon). Studied, went to the design team meeting/play date (it was fun), went to dinner at cousin Chris', came home watched Deadliest Catch (great show) with Adam, now I'm starting my nightly ritual. I'm in bed (under my warm covers), all cozy, lights off, candle lit and....surfing the web! Lucky Adam, huh?! Sorry, Adam! I'm soooo tired and have to start another long day tomorrow at 6 am followed by a 3 1/2 hr drive up north! Lucky me!

Anyway, here are a couple layouts I made for scrappy chic:

I love it b/c my mom looks so beautiful, happy, and healthy (you can't even tell she's sick in this pic). It was taken on the day of my wedding at church. I'm so thankful that she had enough energy and actually felt good for such a special day! Keep up the hope mom! If you believe and keep your faith and hope, so will I...I promise mom! I will never EVER give up on you!!!

Late

We are always late to church on Sundays! Always! And we live right down the street, literally. We are so close that if we left our house at 9:59, we'd get there at 9:59...but we are still always late!! I must say that it is my fault. Every Sunday, Adam gets ready and sits in his car waiting for me. I'm not sure why he does that, but he literally sits in the car for about 10 minutes waiting for me. Maybe he thinks that I would start hurrying, who knows? Anyway, the whole point of the story is this...

I started getting ready at 6:30 last night for our 8:00 Easter mass. I was still late and, as usual, Adam was waiting in the car. We got there at 8 and the priest was already entering the church. Adam was annoyed. We walked in and there was not a single seat left. Adam was annoyed. We had to sit in the kids area. Adam really was annoyed. There was a screaming kid whose parents just let him scream. Adam was so annoyed. The kid was actually annoying me more than he was annoying Adam, so we just left. I feel bad for leaving church but that was no way to hear mass. This was the first year, in 29 years, that I missed Easter mass. Oh well, I guess I just need to speed it up, esp. on Sundays...

Snow In Spring?

It has been so beautiful here! It's been in the 50's and 60's and you can actually see that spring is here! Well, until Thursday comes along...it's going to be in the 30's and chances of SNOW!! Only in Michigan! I really better not see any snow. I won't be happy! But I will be happy when I pick up my April design team kit! I can't wait to see all the goodies in it!

It a children's chipboard book that was on clearance at Borders. I got it for only a couple bucks...much cheaper than the ones I get from the scrapbook store. So this is what it looks like now...

It's my new project! I might change it just a little b/c the title isn't easy to read. It's called a different perspective. Can't wait to finish it...
