bad bad blogger

right before bed, out of nowhere, adam asked me why i haven't updated my blog (it was so cute. i love the fact that he reads it!). I checked my posts and saw that I only have 5 posts for May! Can't believe it...only 5! I guess i've really been boring and lazy lately, but I decided to start blogging more regularly.

I've been in the mood to scrapbook lately. I actually made these pages for my "R" book (random things @ random times) last week.




And this weekend I NEED TO TAKE PICTURES!!! i swear, i really have nothing to scrapbook since I have the same old pictures!!! i want to start taking different pictures of EVERYTHING! Whenever I look at Marie's or Staci's blogs I always get jealous of their pictures! They have SO many!!! I love it!

Going to have a busy weekend: wings/pistons game tonight, bbq at friends house tomorrow, engagement party sunday. I should be able to take quite a few pics...well, i better!

p.s. every friday, i look forward to "the dares" ...i love love love them! but lately, it's been so disappointing! they've sucked and been slacking...half of them not even layouts...wtf? i need my dares girls to come back....full swing.

So after reading Candice's blog and seeing her neat and clean scrapbook room (which by the way, mine usually is except for the last month) I decided I had to straighten out my room immediately. Well my friends, it didn't quite turn out that way. I created a BIGGER disaster!!

This is what I saw when I walked in....a desk full of shit....not to mention what was all over the floor and couch.
So, as I began to pick up the mess off the desk I found this picture....it's the window display at Nordstrom that I just had to somehow replicate onto my scrapbook room wall (just the "inspo is everywhere" not the background).

The light bulb went off in my head. "Ooohh, I can do this right now on my OWN wall...it would look SO cool....especially in RED!"

DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!! What the hell have I done?! I mean, did I really think it was going to look like the Nordstrom window display?!! What a fuckin idiot! Marie had to throw in that it looked like a murderer did it......but I would have to agree especially since i told Adam the same thing!

So now, my room is 10x worse than it was...thanks Candice!! I bet your getting a kick out of these pictures (lol)! I bet you weren't expecting this sort of disaster!

awesome boss and layouts

I really don't have to much to say except that I'm enjoying my week off of work. My awesome boss gave me the week off after monday because I put so many hours in over the weekend for monday's event.....so she basically told me i deserved the rest of the week off! we also scheduled a dinner/drinks meeting to celebrate the successful mother's day event....don't you wish you had a boss like mine?! One that lets you take a week off and then takes you out for drinks!! She's pretty cool don't you think?

I scrapbooked a couple layouts, which I haven't done in a long time. Most of the other stuff i've been making is for my mini random book. But here are 2 actual layouts....

and of course one mini for the random book...i couldn't resist. I love how this turned out and it was so easy and quick...gotta love that!

my friends are awesome!

I swear, I have the BEST friends!! If it wasn't for Janan, Chrystal, Foof, Carolyn, Marie, and Michelle, my event would have been a disaster! They literally saved an event I put together, a mother's day pamper party. Janan helped me set before the event (seriously, janan i can't say it enough...you saved me this morning!) and made all the women's appointments. I can't forget Marie and Michelle too! Of course, they came early and helped set up....we finished just in the knick of time! Marie was one of my eyebrow shapers, and Foof, Carolyn, and Chrystal were my manicurists!!! Oh and Michelle was my bitch : ) jk mishy, you know i would be lost without you...my partner, my #1 helper, and the godmother of my first unborn child! fyi everyone: michelle named her self "the bitch" for the event....funny girl!

So I was on my feet (in heals) from 9am-5pm today...never sat down. My feet are throbbing! But that didn't stop me from scrapbooking tonight. I made 2 quick pages for my random thoughts book......

and i've been wanting to scrapbook this picture of my mom (the one in the frame), but just don't have the heart to do it yet. I can barely look at this specific picture without crying. Although it's blurry, it's absolutely perfect. In my eyes, life with my mom seems like a blur...a life time ago...

mom, there's a huge hole in my heart. i need you. i want you back. i can't imagine living the rest of my life without you. i would have done anything to save you...anything. i miss you so much it hurts. what a sweet day it will be to be with you again....

WTF??!!

Anything that could have gone wrong today, went wrong!! Shall, I share my day with you?...

1. I work for an organization that services families that live in poverty. I decided to throw a pamper party for about 100 moms that use our services. My only manicurist, who by the way I've been going to for 10 years, canceled on me! She has known about this for a month and knew that she was my only manicurist! AND the event is on MONDAY!! Needless to say, I'm never going to her again!

2. The lady, my partner who is throwing the party with me, was supposed to get 6 other organizations to pass out info to women (heart assoc, diabetes assoc, etc)....She DIDN'T do it!! All the organizations are listed on the flyers....1300 of them! That's the only thing I asked the bitch to do!!!!!!

3. I was supposed to pick 100 magazines today from 6 degrees magazine.....i've tried calling that bitch 3 times....no answer!

4. Since I still don't have my own office, I use unoccupied offices. Well, I got kicked out of 2 of them in a matter of 10 minutes! I just picked up my shit and left!

5. A woman I work with, who has been such a good friend to me,.....is leaving tomorrow!!!!

6. I went to check what building my class is in tomorrow (my first and only one for the spring semester) and I missed it!!!! It was on Wednesday!

I am having chest pain!!! This is what I have to say to life today........

oh and Madonna is going on tour this fall and is not coming to her hometown! hater! how disappointing...
