adam just took that quiz about me that i posted yesterday and he was cracking up! I thought he found my questions funny but really he was laughing at the fact that i actually made a quiz. I started reading the quiz with him and started cracking up at myself! I just want to tell you guys that was me on lunesta (my zzz pills)!! that was so lame...

I just found a website where you can make a quiz to test which friends know you the best. it's fun to do. i just made a quiz for my friends...check it out. as you take the quiz the results will be emailed to me...how fun! if you don't want to take my test you can link to it and make your own from the same page.

i went cropping with staci on sunday and had sooo much fun!! it's just so awesome to crop with another scrapper who loves the hobby (or obsession) just as much as you do...staci, i had an awesome time with you...can't wait to do it again. the only thing is that it took me FOREVER to get the first page or two done. of course as soon as we got into it, it was almost time to go...shitty! so the book is not done yet, like i hoped it would be, but really what the hell was i thinking? there's no way i can finish a whole mini book in 1 crop with the rate i go and my obsessiveness! maybe i can finish it by this friday so i can finally post it...i love how it's turning out!

marie and i went shopping all afternoon. it was fun but i spent almost $300! i just don't know how to manage my money, especially when i'm so tempted to buy all the pretty things i see! i got a lot of cool random stuff (mostly storage type things and a few t-shirts) so i'll post some pics of my fun findings tomorrow...too tired to do it right now...goodnight.

FYI, Goose is enjoying breakfast right now...Honey Nut Cherios : ) Bastard! He's always finishing my cereal!! I let him out this morning and he wouldn't come back inside so I grabbed the box of cereal, stood right outside the front door, and started opening the cereal...he darted back in and I didn't even have to call his name! Of course, I had to give him some.

I'm selling a bunch of my scrapbook stuff at scrappy chic's garage sale tomorrow. Whatever amount I sell turns into store credit and I can use it on anything I want in the store...perfect timing...all the new stuff is coming in!!!

Going to crop with Staci tomorrow and I plan to finish (well, hopefully) the mini album I started working on...can't wait!

not much to report...

I have been so tired but I really have no reason to be. I've done nothing since I finished my classes and I love it! I have been trying to get myself to scrapbook but for some reason I can't get myself to do it. It's weird because I really want to but I can't think of anything creative. Hopefully that'll pass since I'm going to crop with Staci on Sunday. Can't wait...I've been waiting to do that with the her. Also, I found a guy who scrapbooks and he's awesome!! I can't believe I didn't find him sooner!!

Oh and Chris, I agree about Farah starting her new blog. I think it'll be funny but does your comment mean that my blog isn't entertaining enough?! By the way, I've told her so many times start her own blog...then she can hunt for her own facts and post them herself! hehe

OMG!

I have a serious sickness!!!! I can't stop scrapbook shopping! I just noticed another package in the mail for more supplies! I really feel guilty for buying so much scrapbook stuff but then again I LOVE it all and just need it! Check out what I got last night and today.... this by the way is just what i've bought/received in the last 24 hours!!! If adam only knew....

I counted a total of 33 sheets of paper...only a few of them are doubles (cause you know I can't just have one!)!!!!

I just don't this stopping anytime soon...oh well, i have fun with it...now i'm really gonna scrap!as a matter of fact, i'm in my scrap room : )

yesss!!!

I finished my finals today! All I have left is a paper which is due on monday and then I'm done until september 4th!!! I'm so happy! I haven't had that much time off in about a year. It's gonna feel so good and I can't wait to do nothing but sleep in and scrapbook! Oh and i plan on shopping a little...yay!

I have so many cute mini albums in mind...can't wait to start them. I love Ali Edwards idea of "daily something". I actually started one of my own. Here's my first "something"....

I loved this layout yesterday but it doesn't look too hot right now...i guess it looks much better in person...i'm starting to obsess over my layouts and that's not good! I really need to chill out.

i'm back

Well, I survived my white water rafting trip! It was actually a good time! Here's a picture of us rafting...notice I'm in the front!!! Right before this rapid, adam's friend (who's sitting behind me in this pic) made me switch places with him...i had no choice but to move because the rapid was coming up. I warned everyone that I wasn't going to paddle....so here I am holding on for dear life as everyone else paddled! And of course, that one rapid where I was up front holding on was captured!


i made a quick layout of our trip. this was what our fridge looked like on friday night and by saturday morning it was all gone!

I'm going white water rafting this weekend...dum, dum, dum. I just pray to the good Lord that my ass stays in that damn raft!!! I really think I would panic and drown if I fell off. God, I'm so not looking forward to this!

For the past 3 1/2 yrs Adam has been under the impression that I love white water rafting, but I don't blame him for thinking that. Here's why: when Adam and I first started dating he invited me to go on a white water rafting trip with him and his friends. Of course I didn't want to go but, like an idiot I wanted to impress him so I said yes. I remember saying to him, "that would be so much fun, I love doing stuff like that". That was a complete lie!! I hate doing stuff like that! So we went, and I remember how terrified I felt as I was signing the waiver (I swear I think I literally had to use the bathroom before we got on the raft...that's how scared I was). Anyway, luckily I didn't fall off and the trip ended quickly...by the way, we were camping in the middle of no where, no cell phones, it was muggy and rainy, I had a huge cold sore on my lip, and a roach was taking a shower with me!!!! It was so nasty! But of course, I kept ranting and raving about how much fun it was...yeah right!!! We'll since I never told Adam how much I really hated white water rafting, he booked us another one of those fun trips with all of his friends!!!

Here's the moral of this story: Don't lie!

So tonight I thought I'd get some scrapping done before my wonderful trip. I felt pretty creative (which I haven't felt for a while) and created a couple layouts...

PUBLISHED!!

I got published...my first publication ever!! This jewelry holder (inspired by Marie) was published in Somerset Studio Home Edition II this month. I was so excited to hear that something of mine was worth publishing! I didn't get the magazine in the mail so I had to go to Borders to see if it came out. I saw my jewelry holder and to tell you the truth, I was a little disappointed...I think I was expecting too much. I imaged it to be displayed so beautifully but it really wasn't...it was just bare, no jewelry and no background. It's okay though, I'm still happy I was published...I just want my copy!!!

Someone left me an anonymous message on my last blog entry. I think I have a pretty good idea of who it was since I only told 1 person about my emotional breakdown today.

It just was one of those days...my mom wasn't feeling well and I of course I got upset and thought the worst of her cancer so I cried over it ALL day long! I'm just drained...my eyes literally burn and all i want to do is sleep. I just checked my the comments on my blog and found this one:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference....thanks anonymous/michelle! it put a smile on my face!

lazy...

Where did the weekend go?! I did pretty much nothing this entire weekend...I really feel lazy about it too! I did a few things: saw Bourne Ultimatum (although I still don't exactly understand the entire move....it was still awesome!), started a book which I think I am going to enjoy (brick lane), picked up my dt kit from scrappy chic, and got 3 pages done....oh yeah, and I took a dozen naps! So it wasn't a very productive weekend at all, but I enjoyed the laziness (and it rained too!).

a newspaper scrapbook

I made this scrapbook in 2004 and I think it's still one of my favorites. Marie, Farah, Michelle, Sherri, and I went to Alaska to run (some of us walked) the Midnight Sun Marathon. We were a part of the Michigan chapter of Team in Training, a fundraising organization for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I wanted to make a scrapbook for our trip and Farah came up with an awesome idea... a NEWSPAPER scrapbook! It looks just like a newspaper. It opens up like one and the journaling is as if you were reading a newspaper! I love it! It's a few years old (back when I was obsessed with Chatterbox paper) but it's still one of my favorites. Take a look....

I just started a new scrapbook. It's called "well said", I only have 1 page done but I plan on working on it a little bit today...i'll share soon...

stirring things up with bitches

I posted my most recent layouts on 2peas...well some women found one to be offensive: "life...fuck it". They bashed me, not my artwork so it wasn't constructive criticism. if it was, I wouldn't be so pissed. I honestly can not believe these women have nothing better to do with their lives than to sit on the computer and be soooo rude to people and so immature! I received comments like this all because i had the word fuck in my title...

this is the one that really pissed me off...this bitch needs a wake up call and a good ass beating!

Wow. What can we look forward to next? Will you be posting a layout of your drunk driving conviction? Or a pending crack habit, perhaps? This "in your face" nonsense is wearing a little thin in the gallery...your contribution isn't funny, witty or genuinely controversial. It's just ignorant. The REAL mystery is that there's a little party of sycophants vomiting praise for this behavior. YEAH, it's real SPECIAL, girls! Give her a pat on the back!!

Nothing like religious layouts in the same album as language that is in my opinion, in very poor taste. Yes, we are not in junior high, so maybe you can find a more adult way of journaling when you are putting your LOs on a public forum.

this one is preaching to me...i didn't know using the f word classifies you as a sinner:

I am way grown up and teach "junior high"...middle school students. I teach in a Catholic school and, believe me when I say, that Pope John Paul would have never condoned this use of language...in private or in public. Using such language does make me think a person is "grown up" but, in fact, very immature...especially when others around you are sensitive to it's use.


I didn't know I commited a crime by using the word fuck in MY layout...if you don't like it then don't fuckin look! it's as simple as that...grow up people and perhaps you can use your energy on
the real vulgar things that happen in our world. it's absolutely ridiculous that so much negativity and energy was spent on this layout when it means nothing in this crazy world we live in...go do something productive with your lives!
